Memorial Day is one of the United States most stirring of all federal holidays, because it’s the day to remember and honor those who have given ‘their all’ in military service. Thankfully I had a dad as well as a father-in-law who served faithfully (and came home whole in body) yet I realize many reading this CRA Moment had loved ones who served in one ‘branch’ or the other, and whose father, son, brother, or loved one didn’t return as they once left or return at all. Jeannie and I pray for the compassion and mercy of the Lord to be a covering of love over you this Memorial Day commemoration.
The national holiday is about those who served throughout many historic battles, including the Civil War, World War II, and more recent conflicts. This weekend many will come together as a community to watch parades, visit memorials, or host barbecues or picnics with friends and family. Whether you’re attending an event to remember our heroes, or you’re looking for something to say and share with loved ones, the right words can help create a moment.
My original intent with this week’s ‘Moment” is to encourage those who have reached a point of feeling like giving up, however, by encouraging you with the one word; ‘don’t!’ Like those who enlisted in various phases of the U.S. Armed Services, and who didn’t give up, we too at this juncture of life must not either! On my office bookshelf I have a marble container engraved with words from Winston Churchill. “Never, Never, Neve, Give Up!” There is much more daylight and good than what many are seeing, and that ‘good’ requires turning off CNN; MSNBC; CBS; ABC; NBC; FOX; or all other stations that colludes with one another, then spin out negative news.
This past week we received a four-and-a-half typed pages written report ‘packed’ with good-news of a wealth of items that have taken place behind the scenes and that is not provided to general news outlets. This “report” is from one in the U.S. Military and who is privy to each item that has taken place, and is able to state each point as accurate. While we are unable to share its detailed report, we did hold the document up on CRA’s Live Streaming camera to show the extent of items that have taken place. In just a few words, it is powerful and encouraging!
If you are one who has felt like giving up…don’t! We in the U.S. as well as around the world are about to see a supernatural happening ‘by God Himself’! God has not abandoned us! He is not a god who has turned things over to the devil! Don’t believe me? Okay! Wait and see! Much is soon to be taking place! In the meantime, watch your words, because negative words will get you into trouble! Think on this! You’ve no doubt been in a social gathering where one person talks on and on, and eventually says something that reveals their ignorance, all for their intent of trying to show they know something about everything. In Eccl. 10:12 Solomon wrote; “Wise words brings approval, but fools are destroyed by their own words. Fools base their thoughts on foolish assumptions, so their conclusions will be wicked madness; they chatter on and on.” Vs. 15, “Fools are so exhausted by a little work that they can’t even find their way home.”
Sometimes such fools even get to top positions in our government. A nation with a leader like that is one who is so filled with self-importance, and who only spends his morning thinking about nothing but his next meal. Self-focused rulers continue their day in drunkenness, while thinking that with their money they can buy themselves out of any problem.
For those who are praying, waiting, and believing, we are about to see something so supernatural that anyone who awakens will say, “It Has To Be God!” And then revival will break out, and mankind will have what perhaps will be one last opportunity to choose God over the devil.
If you’ve thought about giving up, don’t! Recall some of the last words of Solomon recorded in Eccl. 11:7, “Light is sweet, and how pleasant to see a new day dawning.”
Blessings, Psalm 20:7 Dale & Jeannie
