Where Are the “Voices of Righteousness”?

Today we are witnessing two specific things taking place. First is that America in general is rejecting the warnings of the Bible, and secondly, we are on a very steep slide to a place where I assure you we’re not going to be happy we allowed ourselves to go and be.

While today we are hearing from untold numbers of voices as they speak about the problems surrounding us while using graphs, charts, models, viruses, directed toward the pandemic facing not only our nation, but also an entire world.  However, my question is; Where are the “Voices of righteousness?”  Where are the cries from the heart of repentant people that are being lifted to heaven?  Where the mom’s are and dad’s with strength and courage to teach their children about Matthew 24:7 & 8 that reads, “For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places.  All these are the beginning of sorrows.”   Where are the godly grandmothers and grandfathers, especially needed in homes where one or the other spouse is missing? Where are the pastor’s voices crying out from the pulpits of America, to a nation that has fallen so very fast into utter chaos and turmoil?  Where are the Elijah’s; Elisha’s; Esther’s; Nehemiah’s; Joshua’s; David’s; Peter’s; James’ and John’s?  Why are many Silent?  Prosperity preaching isn’t going to answer or heal the problem America, or any other nation has!

Why are the boisterous voices so loud, those that are drumming out the sound of sanity and the darkness of evil spirited men and women who are running loose like wild uncontrollable animals so loud in volume while tearing down our nation rather than building her up?  While I’m at it, where are our political leaders who took a vow to stand up for the best for our nation; not put in office so they can just have a desk in an office, while raking in enough money for several life-times before, (if they ever do) leave office? A person can have the wealth of a Bill Gates, Warren Buffett, Mark Zuckerberg, or any other billionaire, but when rebellion and anger break out in a home or our cities, no amount of wealth can buy the sanity and honest heart-filled-love that’s needed for another person, no matter the color of skin.

We are facing the preludes similar to some of the judgments we read about in the book of Revelation chapter 18, verse 4 & 5: “Then I heard a voice calling from heaven, ‘Come away from her, my people. Do not take part in her sins, or you will be punished with her. For her sins are piled as high as heaven, and God remembers her evil deeds’.” Vs. 8, “Therefore, these plagues will overtake her in a single day—death and mourning and famine.” Rev. 18:14; 15-17; “The fancy things you loved so much are gone,” they cry. All our luxuries and splendor are gone forever, never to be yours again. The merchants who became wealthy by selling her these things will stand at a distance, terrified by her great torment. They will weep and cry out, ‘How terrible, how terrible for that great city! She was clothed in finest purple and scarlet linens, decked out with gold and precious stones and pearls! In a single moment all the wealth of the city is gone!”

While these passages speak of the once great city of Babylon, we must not be lulled to sleep that the same scenario cannot fall upon this great country of the USA!  In our homes, secluded from others during this period of time, as people of God, if we have not already, we can begin by crying out to Him asking for forgiveness of our personal sins. Then to cry out for the sins of our leaders, and yes, even any pastors who have not warned the people as they have been told to do. James 3:1 in the Revised Geneva Translation reads, My brothers, do not let many of you become instructors, knowing that we shall receive the greater condemnation.”

We urge you to join us in praying for our nation of America, to be a “Voice of Righteousness”, also asking our Merciful Father in heaven to give us another period-of-time to get it right.  That we, once again may become a city, set on a hill, shining and committed to glorify His Name to a world that so desperately needs to know His Son as Lord and Savior!

Blessings, Psalm 20:7 Dale & Jeannie
