“As Jesus approached Jericho, a blind beggar was sitting beside the road. When he heard the noise of a crowd, he asked what was happening. They told him that Jesus was going by. He began shouting, ‘Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!’ Be quiet people yelled at him. But he only shouted louder, ‘Son of David, have mercy on me!’ Jesus asked, ‘What do you want me to do for you?’ Lord, I want to see! Jesus said, ‘Receive your sight! Your faith has healed you.’ Instantly the man could see & he followed Jesus, praising God.”
Jesus was performing amazing miracles everywhere He went. He cast out a legion of demons from a demoniac; a woman was instantly healed of a hemorrhage that had plagued her for years; a twelve-year-old girl, the daughter of a Jewish ruler, was raised from the dead. It was interesting that wherever Jesus performed such miracles, He told those He delivered, “Your faith has made you well.” And yet in His hometown, He was met with the worse kind of unbelief. It was apparent they all knew what He had been doing, yet they believed that such things happened somewhere else, and with someone else, not anyone in their little town of Nazareth.
What was the reason for their unbelief? We don’t like to admit to it, and for so many in ministry, they certainly don’t like to be known for saying it, however, truth-be-known, they were spiritually D-E-A-D…dead! Oh it’s true, they were sincerely religious in their actions, however, they would not bring themselves to the place of recognizing and acknowledging Jesus as God in flesh, and yet it was He Who was physically standing right in front of them doing one miracle right after the other!
The devil doesn’t like it when a person decides to make a God impact on another person, because he doesn’t want you to get a burden for reaching someone who is lost and in his grasp. When it comes to you and me, he doesn’t like it when we decide to do something good in-and-for any type of church work. And without a doubt he sure doesn’t want you to ‘go-to-extremes’ of praying, or making commitments to one sort or another to work on behalf of God’s Kingdom.
Christ for All Nations was founded by Evangelist Reihard Bonnke in 1974 after he had spent a number of years working as a missionary in Africa. His burning desire to see the nations saved grew out of a series of visions in which he saw the entire continent of Africa washed in the blood of Jesus, and heard the voice of the Holy Spirit in his heart; “Africa shall be saved!” over and over again. This resulted in him stepping out in faith with a very small team and starting the evangelistic ministry to Africa—“from Cape Town to Cairo.” It was Reinhard who is credited with the title of this CRA Moment. “Plunder Hell to Populate Heaven!” And over the next 60 years he preached the Gospel with fiery passion urgency, and is credited with having led 79 million people to Christ.
In July 2015 Bonnke said, “In my young years in Africa God asked me what I wanted, but it was to see if I wanted what He wanted. He knew my heart and gave me the chance to choose. I said, ‘Lord I am not asking for a million dollars but for a million souls.’ Immediately the answer from heaven came: ‘You will plunder hell to populate heaven for Calvary’s sake.’ In the years to follow, Reinhard saw tens of millions of souls saved!
My prayer is that it will stir your heart as well as mine to do the very same thing no matter the number we see with our eye come into God’s Kingdom! After all, it’s this same Jesus who healed the blind man, that together, we…no matter whether in a small or huge way…can do as Reinhard did in “Plundering Hell to Populate Heaven!”
